Rattan Cage Table

A striking round side table that sets intricate rattan handwork against a bold black metal base. The Nairobi’s top is a woven tray in warm natural rattan, its centre opening into a decorative openwork medallion — a radiating floral pattern of looped fans that lets light filter through — all framed by a thick plaited rim. Beneath it, a tapered cage of slim black metal spokes fans outward to a circular ring, finished with rounded ball feet. The contrast of matte black against honeyed weave gives the piece a graphic, contemporary edge while keeping the handcrafted character front and centre. Ideal beside a sofa or armchair, or as a low occasional table in a lounge or veranda.
